Everyday I see the same old things, opinions of people formed from nothing but a tv show, or internet website read. Be it a much loved soap or news broadast, everyday people are forming views based on only scraps of information that the producer of the programs wants them to see.
An opinion of a world event comes about from which source a particular person uses to form their view, the full story never seems to be told. On soaps often people who are black are shown as terrible people, the big burley guys are always bad and the blonde girls are always dumb. This causes more and more people to form an opinion of other people through how they have seen a similar person portrayed through their favourite media.
This is what tv and internet seem to have to humans, they have corrupted and now conditioned hordes of people to believe without question anything they want, we no longer seem to think for ourselves or question things.
Without even thinking about it I will subconsciously shy away from big burley men in the street. Popular culture has told me that these men are bad and wont hesitate to beat me up. How surprised I was recently when in England I walked into a barbers to get my haircut and it was cut by the friendliest nicest guy I have ever had cut my hair. Now this many was also a bouncer and a bodyguard as his two other jobs, but he had been cutting hair since he was twelve years old. At no point did he ever try to punch me in the face, besides having a shaved head, being big and burley and having sculptured facial hair.
Now I know if I was in a tv soap this man would have been a convicted drug criminal who had got out of jail and mysteriously come to this barbers with the sole purpose of waiting for me to walk in so he could seriously injure me (or something more dramatic depending on the directors and producers and how desperate they were for ratings).
This is what really annoys me, when people have formed opinions about other people or world events without even exposing themselves to more than one source. Multimedia is ripping people apart, instead of joining us in a global network, everyone now has access to all sorts of one sided garbage which is just insulting to the level of intelligence that I feel most people have.
Opinions are formed on the basis of reading an article written by someone who has already formed an opinion of their own from someone elses article already on the internet. And they want the rest of the world to see this and bend to their view. As we can now type into google what we want and thousands of results follow, a percentage of people will see what this guy has written and form their own opinion without reading anything else, as they think they have the whole story.
It all then ends with no-one really knowing the real story as it has been buried under all these opinions of people who are now fighting with each other over something which wasn’t even a real issue in the first place.
The only thing that I can say is that most tv shows are just not worth the time anymore, nor is most of what is written on the internet. A majority of tv shows are not life changing, they are morally degrading, life detrimental devices used to dull the brains of humans to everything happening around them.
And the internet cannot be used for just one source to find information, to form a correct analysis and opinion on an issue it must be used like a library or newspapers, many must be read with an open mind purely as a quest for knowledge, then an opinion ma be formed that can be shaped by later information as it was open to begin with.
So I have one piece of advice for kids, stop watching degrading tv, get out, meet people, experience life and read a lot of different materials.
Do not get contaminated by this multimedia, you will realize once you have missed a few programs that they are not that important and you wont die without them. In fact you will live a fuller, happier life, with more friends and great memories.
And wont grow up with a rotted opinionated brain.
